If you have been pulled over by a police officer and charged with drinking under the influence (DUI) who may need a criminal defense attorney. If you didn’t cause an actual accident this may be possible. But if other people were injured this may involve a personal injury attorney representing any injured person and you will then have very little chance of getting the charges dropped.

But if things do not work in your favor and everything was done by the book, then your criminal defense attorney may advise you to accept a favorable plea agreement. Doing so may get your charges reduced or sentencing concessions with the district attorney.

Hiring a dui attorney may be your only chance to get out of a DUI charge. He may be able to show reasons why you should not be charged so that you will be able to keep from having this on your driving record.
