Keeping discus fish can sometimes be a difficult thing to do.  Especially when you’re a beginner.  But don’t worry.  These beautiful fish are easy to care for.  You just need to know what to do.  So, what I’m going to do is share with you some discus fish care tips.

This way, you’ll know exactly what to do to keep your discus healthy.

The tips that will help you are:

1.  Be sure to keep the water temperature of 26-31 degree centigrade and pH balance of 5.5-6.5.  Make sure you don’t let the pH drop below five.  It’s extremely important that you watch the pH balance.  If it drops too low, your fish will become sick and eventually die.  It will also cause your fish to be unhappy and stress.

2.  Another discus fish keeping tip is to make sure the lighting is shaded.  Also, you should change the aquarium water frequently.  Something you can do to help out with this is to get a bottom dwelling fish to go in the tank with your discus.  The bottom dwelling fish will help keep the aquarium clean.

3.  The third thing you should do is to avoid any sudden changes with the water temperature and pH balance.  This will cause your fish to go into shock and die.  Also, be sure to keep your fish tank away from doors that are constantly being open and closed.
